At Geo Designs, I don’t hand over a plan and disappear. I stay involved throughout the construction process, overseeing every stage to make sure the finished garden matches the vision we developed together – and sometimes exceeds it.
From design to reality
Once your design is finalised, I prepare full layout plans and construction drawings that give any landscaper or contractor everything they need to build accurately and to the right standard. I work with a trusted network of skilled, professional landscapers across the Highlands – people I know personally and whose work I’m confident in – and can arrange for these contractors to price for the works on your behalf.
Staying involved throughout
One of the most important things I’ve learned in over 30 years of designing and building gardens is that construction is a living process. Opportunities arise on site that couldn’t have been anticipated at the design stage – a natural contour that could be better used, a view that deserves framing, a material that works even better in context than it did on paper.
By remaining closely involved throughout the build, I can respond to these moments and make decisions that genuinely improve the finished result. This kind of hands-on oversight doesn’t just protect the integrity of the design, it often reduces costs by avoiding mistakes and making the most of what the site offers.
