Shows and Awards – Geo Designs have designed and created show gardens at national garden events throughout the UK since 2002. We have been commissioned to produce innovative and bespoke gardens by event organisers and sponsors to represent their brand identities and to create unique visitor attractions.
RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2013: Geo Designs created a bespoke stand for GardenGirl AB Sweden who specialise in garden clothing for women. The horticultural feature included bespoke planters with flowering lavender and inset trellis with scented climbing roses and a mulch of dried rose petals. The RHS awarded Geo Designs with a Certificate of Commendation for the high quality and presentation of the exhibit.
Country Living Fair, Glasgow SECC 2006: A “Highland Garden” was created as the main feature garden for the organisers of the Spring Fair. Mature silver birch, Scots pine, perennial planting of blue, green and purple, and a feature marble bench. A dark reflective pool with a silver salmon emerges from the stillness to complete the composition. Shows and Awards.
Urban Gardens Exhibition, London Olympia 2004: A Sex and the City Garden. Geo Designs were commissioned by the organisers of the exhibition to create a third consecutive show garden for Urban Gardens 2004. The concept to be based around the character Carrie Bradshaw from the romantic sitcom.
The setting is evening time within a small and intimate courtyard. A four-poster bed set upon a reflective slab of Italian marble serves as the main feature of the garden, adorned with scented climbing roses and a mattress of musky moss. A still pool, illuminated with candlelight, is set within a garden of climbers, mosses and ferns to create a sensual “Outdoor Bedroom”. A plasma screen displays a roaring log fire in the background whilst a romantic operatic aria plays softly… the rest was left to your imagination.
Urban Gardens Exhibition, London Olympia 2003: The Plymouth Gin Botanicals Garden. We were commissioned by Plymouth Gin/Coates & Co, Maxxium UK and Vin & Sprit AB Sweden to create a garden to promote brand awareness, encapsulating the essence of the gin and the botanicals used in the process.

Geo Designs project in Biddenham, Bedfordshire, involved the design and creation of a unique outdoor entertainment courtyard. The outdoor space has been transformed to provide an intimate garden space that provides all year interest, architectural planting, a built-in barbeque, pergola, timber seating and furniture storage. Lighting and a water-feature complete the composition. This contemporary design maximises the use of the space with materials that have been skilfully employed to harmonise and contrast with the rest of the garden.
Urban Gardens Exhibition, London Olympia 2002: The New York Rooftop Garden. Geo Designs were invited to attend the inaugural exhibition to showcase the best in garden innovation and design. The roof garden features a sunken timber deck and terrace which overlooks the city. Subtle lighting, pleached crab-apple trees and an ice sculpture water-feature incorporating a single red rose, further illuminate and enhance this beautiful space. Awarded Best in Show by visitors to the show.
